Falls
2015
I've always been a materials explorer. (What I get for having my bedroom in the back of my father's workshop.) My first art material pioneering involved using watercolors on un-sized mulberry paper. (Those efforts were rewarded my first one-woman museum exhibit curated by John Weber at the Portland Art Museum in 1988). The works on paper for the Falls exhibit continued my watercolor/mulberry paper practice, which in turn influenced the paint handling techniques for the oil paintings.
